New In Gate 2014 Exam/ New Pattern In Gate Exam 2014:
- In new gate exam patter exam will be online (Computer Based) and conducting in only Saturday & Sunday will be held during forenoon and afternoon sessions.
- In gate new pattern questions types are changed. In new pattern for numerical answers there is no multiple choice, here you have to calculate and write the answers using keyboard. Rest of the questions shall be of Multiple Choice Question type and you have to choose the answer.
- Fee Structure Of Gate Exam:
Women - No Category Bar - Rs 750
SC/ST/PWD - - Rs 750
Male/ Female - Other Candidates - Rs 750
Marking System In Gate 2014 Exam Will Be Same As previous Year:
For One mark multiple choice questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
For Two mark multiple choice questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
There is no negative marking in numerical type questions for a wrong answer.
Expert Review On How To Crack Gate 2014 -15 Exam On New Pattern:
In my previous year gate exam discussion post, I think you got good idea (Click Here To Read). But you all know new pattern launched by IIT Kharagpur, And due to new pattern Gate 2013 -2014 result is not good. In 2014 Gate Exam many people are just qualify because of question paper pattern changing. So now the question arising is "How To Qualify Gate 2015 Exam Easily". but in my opinion if you have given the exam of gate 2014. Then definitely you learn some important points. Like:
Problem faces in gate 2014 Exam by students:
1. If students math is good then they can solve easily numerical questions and qualify the gate exam.
2. But those students math is not good they write very wrong answers, That's why they are not able to clear gate exam.
I think these 2 things are the main factor. If you got the answers but your answers is on points then many time students get confused. How much i have to write, But in previous pattern there is choice so you can understand this would be the write answer.
So Now In New Pattern How Can We Qualify Gate Exam 2015:
For qualifying gate exam i suggest 2 way:
First Way (Only if your math is good and your logic is strong otherwise see our second way):
In this exam aptitude and mathematics would be same for 15 marks, Prepare first these subjects. and move to numerical subjects (Those you know very well), Take a small revision of those subjects. And calculate marks how much you can score on these subjects. And always do practice through practice papers or previous year papers. (For doing these things i think if you regularly study 4-6 hours in a day, then it will take 6 months approx, depends upon candidate caliber and work )
Second Way (If your math is weak):
Prepare first Aptitude and subjective papers those you know very well first. and start practice on previous year papers. And try to start practcing on numerical based questions on at least 2 subjects. So that you can qualify gate easily. (For doing these things i think if you regularly study 4-6 hours in a day, then it will take 3 months for theory subject and 1 months for numerical subject and 1 month approx for revision, depends upon candidate caliber and work )
Always try to attempt numerical questions first.
