Gate Old Year Exam Offline Answer Sheet Fill up In ORS:
In this year gate exams, the candidates will have to mark the correct answer of his/her choice on an (ORS) - Optical Response Sheet by darkening the appropriate bubbles in sheet.
Gate Old Year Exam Online Answer Sheet Fill up Details:
Here the question paper will consist of multiple choice type and numerical answer type.
For multiple choice type questions, 4 choice given by gate. And for numerical answer type question, choice will not be given to candidates.
GATE Old Paper & Marking Type:
Multiple choice question carrying One or Two marks each. For 1 mark questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. Same for 2 marks multiple choice, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
Common data questions, where two questions uses the same input data. Linked answer questions, where the answer to the first question of the pair is required in order to answer its successor. However, for the linked answer question pair, where each question carries TWO marks, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer to the first question only. There is no negative marking for wrong answer to the second question of the linked answer question pair. If the first question in the linked pair is wrongly answered or is un attempted, then the answer to the second question in the pair will not be evaluated.
Numerical answer questions, where the answer is a number, to be entered by the candidate. There is no negative marking for numerical answer type questions.

I think to crack gate old Exam, you need to first plan, How to Crack Gate Exam:
In my opinion first check the marks distribution on your branch subjects.
Then check the previous year questions "how much questions asked in your favorite subjects", here favorite subjects it means those subjects you should know very well, There is no need for preparation just need one revision.
Then calculate how much you can score on these subjects. If in your calculation you get the marks approx 20, then first focus how much subjects more i have to read for qualifying gates. and always take the qualifying marks 15+ more marks then previous year cut off, because we all know very well, when we are expecting 50, then we get 20-30. So it should be more better if your last year cutoff is 25 then prepare for scoring 40 Marks then only you qualify gate exam. First make your aim to clear gate exam, then think about score.
If you are confident, That you can qualify then start studying one by one subjects. and always take revision of previous subjects. And always study according to the Gate Syllabus Topics.
Marks Distribution On Gate Exam:
For Aptitude 15 Marks, Mathematics 15 Marks, And for remain subjective 70 marks carry.
Now According To Marks Distribution Which Topic Prepare First For Gate Qualifying Exam:
In my opinion you prepare first Aptitude, Because if you prepare well then you can get at least 10 marks, Then If your mathematics is good then prepare maths and you should get 10 Marks, By preparing these two subjects you can expect 15-20 If you prepare well. Then for qualifying you need 10 More marks, so for that first attempt Numerical Answer Type Question, Because here no negative marking. so at least 5-10 Marks you can score here easily. Then attempt only those questions, you should know the answer very well.
I think by studying in this way you should get the answer of your most important questions"How To Qualify Gate Exam Easily Or How To Clear Cut Off In Gate Exam".

DBMS (Mostly question asked in gate exam)
